Vintgar Gorge is a 1.6-kilometre canyon carved by the Radovna River just 4 kilometres northwest of Bled. Wooden boardwalks and galleries cling to the cliff walls above turquoise rapids, natural pools, and small waterfalls. The trail culminates at the 13-metre Šum waterfall, the largest curtain-type waterfall in Slovenia, where the river plunges over a wide rock ledge.
