Škrlatica — 10km Alpine Hiking Trail in Gorenjska (1800m Elevation)

Škrlatica at 2740 metres is Slovenia’s second-highest peak, standing as a massive neighbour to Triglav across the Vrata valley. The standard route involves demanding scrambling with via ferrata-secured sections and requires a head for heights throughout. The mountain sees far fewer visitors than Triglav despite being only 124 metres lower, offering a wilder and more solitary experience on what many Slovenian mountaineers consider the more challenging ascent.
