The Pohorje Panoramic Trail traverses the rolling Pohorje massif, a low mountain range in northeastern Slovenia covered in dense spruce forest and dotted with peat bogs. Starting from the Rogla ski resort, the trail passes through patches of virgin forest, past the Black Lake (Črno jezero), and across open moorland that feels more like Scandinavia than the Alps. The Pohorje is one of the least-visited mountain areas in Slovenia, offering solitude even in peak season.
