Jalovec from Tamar — 10km Hard Hiking Trail in Gorenjska (1600m Elevation)

Jalovec is often called the most beautiful mountain in the Julian Alps, its distinctive pyramidal shape visible from much of northwestern Slovenia. The ascent from the Tamar valley is long and strenuous, climbing through forest, across scree fields, and up exposed rocky sections secured with steel cables. The summit at 2645 metres offers breathtaking views of the Triglav massif, the Vrata valley, and deep into the Italian Dolomites.
