Brana from Krma Valley — 14km Hard Hiking Trail in Gorenjska (1500m Elevation)

The Krma valley is one of the longest and quietest approach valleys in the Julian Alps, and the trail to Brana at 2253 metres follows it deep into the mountains. The route passes through pristine beech and larch forest before emerging above the treeline into a barren karst landscape of grey limestone. From the summit, Triglav’s massive south face dominates the view, and the sense of remoteness is unmatched on any other trail this close to civilisation.
