Planinska Jama features the largest cave entrance in Slovenia — a dramatic portal over 30 metres wide at the base of a towering cliff. Inside, the Pivka and Rak rivers meet in one of the few known confluences of two rivers underground. The cave system is connected to Postojna Cave through a network of flooded passages that have been partially explored by cave divers.
