The main beach in Portorož is the largest and most popular sandy beach on the Slovenian coast, stretching along the promenade with full resort-style amenities. It holds Blue Flag certification for water quality and environmental management. During peak summer months, lifeguards are on duty and the beach can get crowded, so arriving early is recommended.
