At the quiet western end of Lake Bohinj, the Ukanc area offers a peaceful alternative to the busier eastern shore. The pebble beach here is backed by forest and faces directly toward the Savica waterfall trail. This is the less touristed end of the lake, favoured by hikers heading to the Komna plateau or the Seven Lakes Valley.
