Kostanjeviška Jama is unique among Slovenian caves for housing Forma Viva — a permanent underground gallery of contemporary sculptures installed in the cave’s chambers since 1990. The cave sits in the Dolenjska region beneath Kostanjevica na Krki, one of the smallest towns in Slovenia. Its passages feature impressive flowstone formations and an underground river that occasionally floods the lower galleries.
