Mesečev Zaliv (Moon Bay) in the Strunjan Nature Reserve is the only remaining stretch of natural sand beach on the entire Slovenian Adriatic coast. Protected as part of the Strunjan Landscape Park, the 200-metre beach sits beneath the highest flysch cliff on the Adriatic (80m). Swimming here feels worlds away from the resort beaches just a few kilometres south.
